Meet the current GSA executive board

President
Alireza Aminoroaya
Alireza (he/him) is a fourth-year PhD student in Chemical Engineering. He holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Polymer Engineering, both from Isfahan University of Technology. His current research focuses on developing a cutting-edge nanoparticle-based technology for in vivo tracking of immune cells in type-I diabetic (T1D) animal models, with the goal of advancing stem cell-based therapies for T1D. Outside of his research, Alireza is passionate about nature, enjoys traveling, fitness, reading, and socializing. He is also an active member of CHEMS GSA, where he looks forward to supporting and engaging with the graduate community.

Vice President
Suvidha Sehrawat
Suvidha (she/her) is a second-year PhD student in Chemical Engineering. Her mission is to make science greener and cooler by focusing her research on sustainable plastics. She is fueled by coffee, curiosity, and love for good conversation. Outside of research, she enjoys hiking, brainstorming, and occasionally escaping to beautiful destinations. Suvidha is your go-to for ideas, events, and support, with a goal of making graduate student life less stressful, more connected, and way more fun!

Treasurer
Amirali Mousavi
Amirali (he/him) is a second year PhD student in Chemical Engineering. He enjoys wandering around Schuler's or B&N. In his free time, you can normally find him either playing video games (E-sports one might say) or watching tv shows (How I Met Your Mother is better than Friends). When comes to IRL sports, he likes table tennis and pickleball.

Secretary
Tori Giese
Tori Giese (pronounced geese - she/her) is a second year PhD student in Chemical Engineering. When she is not working on research, she loved to read fantasy and mystery novels. Her favorite book of all time is "This Is How You Lose The Time War". She also loves traveling abroad, to visit museums and learn the history of the country she is visiting. In a parallel universe, she is a historian instead of a chemical engineer. At home, you can find her cuddling with her pets or playing video games.

Webmaster
Rana Elladki
Rana (she/her) is a second-year PhD student in Chemical Engineering. Her research focuses on using molecular dynamics simulations to understand gas transport. Outside of research, she enjoys reading mystery novels, painting, cooking, and listening to science podcasts (stream ologies on Spotify). She also likes to fulfill her adventure quota by climbing (top rope + bouldering inside where there are mats to fall on), hiking, and going on hot-girl walks (hmu with your favorite trails).
